As the AMA presidential election continues to draw closer, we ask the three candidates for their stances on patient enrolment and political donations, plus whether the AMA has a GP membership issue.

We previously quizzed them on pharmacist UTI prescribing and whether universal bulk-billing is a danger to general practice. You can read their responses here.

AusDoc: Has the AMA got a GP membership problem? How many GPs are members?

Associate Professor Gino Pecoraro: I believe the AMA can and must increase the level of membership from our GPs.
