The naturopath suing a Melbourne GP for $1 million after he accused her of quackery has been targeted by the FDA for claiming her range of alternative remedies can treat cancer.

The watchdog’s public warning notice to Farrah Agustin-Bunch relates to 77 separate therapeutic claims relating to her Boston C, Pixie Dust Magnesium and Mega Dose Vitamin C products, which she sells online.

The US-based naturopath, who trained as a doctor in the Philippines and now has 3.7 million Facebook followers, is currently suing Dr Adam Smith for defamation over a series of YouTube videos he posted last year.

One video is called “The Worst ‘DOCTOR’ advice in the Philippines”, in which he questions Ms Agustin-Bunch’s belief that bird’s eye chilli can “save your life even if you are having a heart attack”.
