Give GPs supplies of flu vaccine ahead of pharmacists, says RACGP

The RACGP says GPs need priority access to flu vaccines ahead of pharmacists, warning that most practices failed to get the stock they requested this year.
Its survey of 1100 GPs in April found that 55% did not get sufficient supplies to cover their patients.
This was despite the Federal Government ordering a record 16.5 million doses, including enough high-strength quadrivalent vaccines to cover almost all patients over 65.
RACGP President Dr Harry Nespolon said the problem was distribution.
