‘I’ll never back down’: Defiant GP faces $800,000 legal bill

The GP accused of defaming a naturopath in a series of social media videos says his legal bills are likely to hit $800,000.
It has been 18 months since Dr Adam Smith was sued by a Filipino-born medical-doctor-turned-natural-therapist called Farrah Agustin-Bunch.
With more than three million Facebook followers and her own therapeutic product business, Ms Agustin-Bunch says her reputation has been trashed by Dr Smith’s claims she is peddling pseudoscience to people in the Philippines, a country where he previously worked as a doctor.
The Melbourne GP accused Ms Agustin-Bunch of quackery in a series of YouTube videos, taking aim at her products, including Pixie Dust that she allegedly suggested could treat diabetes, hypertension, insomnia and gastritis.
