The federal AMA is going through a bad time on the domestic front.
The organisation — once dubbed the most feared lobby machine in Canberra in the days when Tony Abbott was the health minister — is trying to heal its wounds.
As reported, some 5000 members in WA were booted out back in February when a million-dollar row broke out over the cash that the state branch was supposed to be handing over from subscriptions it had been collecting.
Months on, the issue has yet to result in a public reunion, with negotiations still ongoing.
