Pete Evans hit with $80,000 fine for dodgy health claims

The former chef has fallen foul of the TGA yet again for advertising unregulated ‘health’ products, including his infamous BioCharger
Pete Evans.

Celebrity chef turned conspiracy theorist Pete Evans has been given ‘biocharged’ fines of nearly $80,000 for continuing to spruik products with dubious health claims.

On Tuesday, the TGA announced it had fined the Peter Evans Chef Pty Ltd for advertising a list of products that are not included in the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods.

Among the products is the notorious $14,990 BioCharger, which also earned Mr Evans’ company a $25,000 fine in April last year.

At the time, he claimed it could fend off the “Wuhan coronavirus”.
