RACGP calls on medical board to review impact of CPD changes on the specialty

The RACGP president has called on the Medical Board of Australia to review the impact of its CPD changes on the specialty amid claims from doctors the reforms are failing.
In an interview published yesterday, board chair Dr Anne Tonkin defended the revamp, saying some doctors were happy.
“We have put in place something that the board believes will improve practice and will improve outcomes for patients,” she said.
“People criticise us often for changing things too much. We need to make a change, wait, see what happens, see how well it works out… We need to give it time.”
