RACP to decide whether to boot out its disgraced former president, Dr Leslie Bolitho
The Royal Australasian College of Physicians says it will decide whether its former president will be booted out of the college after he was banned from registering as a medical practitioner over inappropriate touching of female doctors under his supervision.
Associate Professor Leslie Bolitho was president from 2012 to 2014.
Last week, he was prevented from re-registering for 12 months from the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal after he was found to have inappropriately touched several female interns and registrars.
“Now that the tribunal has made its decision, the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) board will determine the next steps in relation to Professor Bolitho’s membership, pursuant to the provisions of the RACP constitution,” a college spokesperson said.
