Last week, we published a piece by Dr Billie Whiteson on AHPRA’s decision to use the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance definition of anti-Semitism to guide its regulatory work.

A media officer for the Australasian Jewish Medical Federation, Dr Whiteson said adoption of the definition was needed with the rise of anti-Semitism, fear and alienation across the health system.

It was medicine’s duty to “do no harm”, which included psychological harm or conduct that leaves Jewish colleagues or patients feeling unsafe, she wrote.
