My eye-rolling irritation when I read about the draft plan to update CPD with a whole new raft of paperwork and non (actual) learning-based requirements seems echoed by many, if the recent Australian Doctor poll is anything to go by.

Now, it’s not that I don’t appreciate that the changes proposed by the Medical Board of Australia have a few valid points. There is clearly some reasonably good evidence that some reflection in the CPD process is much more effective than purely didactic learning.
