Hormone makes men more honest
A study has found that testosterone may lower the incidence of self-serving lies.
European researchers studied 91 healthy men, 46 of whom received a 50mg transdermal dose of testosterone gel while the remaining 45 received placebo.
The men were asked to roll dice in return for a payoff and could lie to increase their monetary gain without fear of being caught.
They found that 62.2% of those who took the placebo reported rolling the dice to achieve five – the number associated with the highest payoff
