Which missed diagnoses lead to the most malpractice claims?

The analysis of studies based in primary care, which included 15 US studies, nine UK studies, seven from Australia, one from Canada and two from France, showed that death was the most commonly reported outcome, representing 15–48% of malpractice claims.

GPs ranked high among other specialties for malpractice claims, representing between 7% and 16% of total claims in the US, and GPs in the UK represented the greatest proportion of an overall 20% increase in claims from 2009–10.
