AS Dr Louise Phillips of Albany Creek, Qld, explains, it seems that before having a smear nowadays, women must first prepare their private bits with a beauty treatment, lest the doctor think less of them.
One patient explained she was sorry if her vulva looked a bit spotty, but her beauty-school-trainee sister had done the wax for her. She then went on to say how all her friends were having permanent hair removal via laser.
