Too many wives are bad for the heart

It’s known that married men are healthier and live longer than their single brothers, but less is more say cardiologists who have found polygamy is bad for cardiovascular health.

They say the practice causes a four-fold increase in disease risk. And the more wives, the greater the severity and number of coronary blockages.

This could be because of the stress of providing for and maintaining separate households, report the researchers, who studied almost 700 men, a third of whom were in polygamous relationships.
