Terms and Conditions – Game of Chance

Competition – ‘Win a luxury holiday to Jordan’

Information on how to enter forms part of the terms and conditions of entry. Participation in the promotion is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.

All references to time in this document are a reference to the local time in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, on the date stated. The promotion commences at 12:01am on 19th November 2018 and closes at 11.59pm on 16th December 2018.

Entry is open only to practising Australian general practitioners with a valid AHPRA number, who are registered with an Australian Doctor Group publication residing in NSW, VIC, QLD, WA, TAS or ACT (Eligible Entrants). Australian Doctor Group reserves the right to request proof of identity, registration and current place of work. Australian Doctor Group employees (and their families) and contributors are not eligible to enter.

Eligible Entrants may enter the competition by logging on to www.australiandoctor.com.au/competition and completing a quiz. In order to enter the prize draw (Eligible Entry), Eligible Entrants must a) complete the quiz; b) score 100% (five correct answers); and c) submit their full name and email address that they use to log in to Australian Doctor.

One quiz will be published every week for four weeks, at which point the previous week’s quiz will be unpublished and made unavailable as a means of entry. A maximum of one Eligible Entry to the prize draw will be accepted per Eligible Entrant per weekly quiz. There will be four weekly quizzes, meaning a cumulative maximum of four Eligible Entries per Eligible Entrant across the competition’s duration.

The Promoter is not responsible for any lost, late or misdirected entries. The time of entry will be deemed to be the time the entry is received by the Promoter.

By entering, Eligible Entrants agree to receive separate communications from Amaco Small Group Tours. All communications will contain an opt-out option.

Provided by Amaco Small Group Tours, there are ten (10) runner-up prizes of $250 Westfield EFTPOS gift cards each and one (1) grand prize worth $14,185 which includes:

  • International Airfare to attend the Jordan Conference up to the value of $2,500
  • 1 x Conference Participant Registration for the Jordan Conference valued at $995
  • 1 x Jordan Conference Travel package valued at $8,995. This package includes:
    • 3 x nights accommodation at Grand Hyatt Hotel Amman (24-27 April 2019)

Note that items of a personal nature, such as travel insurance, telephone calls, travel arrangements outside of those listed above, and any optional tours that may be offered, are not included.  

There will be eleven (11) prize draws, one for each prize, which will take place on Monday 17th December at 3pm at Level 2, 26-32 Pyrmont Bridge Road, Pyrmont NSW 2009.

The winner of the grand prize must be available for travel between 23rd April 2019 and 4th May 2019. The grand prize is non-transferable. If the grand prize winner is unable to accept the prize by 11th January 2019, the Promoter reserves the right to redraw at a time of their choosing.

Westfield EFTPOS gift cards are subject to the terms and conditions imposed by the Westfield EFTPOS gift cards provider. Once awarded, the Promoter is not liable for any voucher that has been lost, stolen, forged, damaged or tampered with in any way. For each Westfield EFTPOS gift card that remains unclaimed on 18 March 2019, a redraw will be held on 18 March 2019 at the same time and place as the original draw, subject to any direction given under applicable law. Any winners determined in accordance with this clause will be notified by email and on 18 March 2019.

All winners will be notified by email and the names and other details relating to the winners will be published in Australian Doctor on the 18th January 2019. The gift cards will be mailed to winners’ addresses as stipulated in email correspondence.

Prizes will be awarded to the person named in the entry. Prizes cannot be transferred, exchanged, or redeemed for cash. The Promoter and its associates assume no responsibility for any error or delay related to the competition.

If the prize is unavailable, for whatever reason, the Promoter has the right to substitute the prize for a prize of equal or greater value, subject to State and Territory legislation.

The Promoter does not exclude any rights and remedies in respect of goods or services under the Australian Consumer Law in the Competition and Consumer Act (2010) (Australian Consumer Law) which cannot be excluded, restricted or modified. However, the remainder of this clause will apply to the fullest extent permitted by law and the Promoter will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any prize/s.

All entries become the property of the Promoter, (with the exception of any intellectual property rights comprised therein). As a condition of entering this competition you acknowledge that Australian Doctor Group may contact you via email with information that may be relevant to you and your industry.
