BreastScreen SA failure will mean ‘loss of trust’

The independent review, released last week, was conducted by Associate Professor Warwick Lee, BreastScreen NSW’s state radiologist, after 95 fewer than expected cancers were identified in South Australia between 6 September 2010 and 30 June 2012.

Professor John Boyages, director of breast oncology at the Macquarie University Cancer Institute, Sydney, said the delayed discoveries would result in a loss of trust that needed to be rebuilt.
