GPs need more training on child abuse: Coroner

A VICTORIAN coroner has recommended GPs receive further training on child abuse and family violence after an inquest into the death of a four-year-old thrown from Melbourne's West Gate Bridge.

The recommendation by Coroner Ian Gray has been sent “for action” to Associate Professor Morton Rawlin, the RACGP’s nominee on the board of General Practice Education and Training Ltd (GPET).
