work in aged care. I have always had a special interest in aged care and have spent most of my nursing life working in aged care facilities. I did my general training in Port Macquarie many years ago and am happy to be still working in the profession I love.

The patient who has had the most profound effect on me is... 

all my aged care patients who fill me with inspiration. I have one that left home at nine to work in shearing sheds and never returned home. Another did not wear shoes until he was 12 because his family were too poor. Neither hold resentment or bitterness, both got on with their lives and didn’t think their childhood was that bad!
