Practice list cleansing under way

Patients in England face being delisted if they are out of touch with their GP for five years.

As part of an NHS cost-saving initiative, those who have not seen their GP in that time will be sent two letters, and removed from the practice list if they don’t respond.

NHS England told the Guardian the scheme will ensure that it does not waste vital funds by paying GPs the equivalent of $175
