Coal gas plant under criminal investigation

A QUEENSLAND coal gasification plant is facing serious allegations over far-reaching soil contamination and sick workers, years after Australian doctors warned against risks posed by the experimental technology. 

The plant near Chinchilla, on the western Darling Downs, and operated by Linc Energy is the target of a criminal investigation by the Queensland Department of Environment and Heritage Protection, the ABC has revealed.
