Drug bodies pour cold water on home-doctor hangover clinic
AN upcoming service offering home-doctor visits for people who have hit the booze too hard is facing criticism for enabling excessive drinking.
The service, hangover.clinic, is due to launch in Sydney next month and will send doctors to people's homes to administer medications and IV fluids.
The basic package will reportedly cost about $120, and offer vitamin B and C infusions, analgesics, ondansetron and oxygen therapy.
However, drug and alcohol groups have expressed concerns over the ethics of such a service.
