I’VE BEEN READING
A Little Life, by Hanya Yanagihara, a powerful story of human grit and friendship that lays open the complex issues faced by adults who have suffered childhood abuse. Also, The Knowledge Wars by Peter Doherty, a fascinating and easy to digest book on the many issues scientists grapple with when dealing with data. His argument that citizens can take meaningful action if they are better informed is a call to arms that, as medics, we need to communicate evidence more simply.
