Highest supply of GPs in remote Oz

The Medical Workforce 2012 report shows practitioner numbers continued to grow across all regions, with the number employed rising by just over 16% from 68,455 to 79,653 between 2008 and 2012.

The supply of GPs was found to be highest in remote and very remote areas, at 134 full-time equivalent GPs per 100,000 people, compared to the overall rate of 111.8 per 100,000 population.
