A SURVEY1 of Australians shows only 15% of us are aware of pancreatic cancer — a terrible disease with one of the highest mortality rates among malignancies.
Only 7% of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer survive beyond five years and this has increased little over the past 30 years. By 2020, it is projected, pancreatic cancer will become the second biggest cancer killer.
