Paediatric nurse struck off over relationship with former patient
A FORMER paediatric nurse who admitted to forming a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old former patient has been handed a three-year ban.
Leslie Mortlock was fired from a regional NSW hospital after the girl’s mother complained about the relationship, which continued even after she implored him to end things.
The NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal was told Mr Mortlock developed a relationship with the teen – some 20 years his junior – after she was admitted as a 15-year-old for the treatment of an infection.
