Nurse stands in for GP

A New Zealand nurse has big shoes to fill this week as she takes over treating patients at a rural medical centre while her general practitioner boss is on holidays.

In an unusual move, Jackie Clapperton, an intensive care paramedic and nurse practitioner, will work as the Tunanga health Medical Center’s “GP” for next two weeks.
