One in ten NZ doctors help a patient die: survey

More than one in 10 New Zealand GPs admit helping a terminally ill patient end their suffering, according to a survey showing closely divided opinion on legal protection for doctors who assist with voluntary euthanasia.

In a survey of 110 GPs by New Zealand Doctor, 11.8% admitted having intervened to help a terminally ill and suffering patient to die.
